In den letzten Wochen war ich wirklich nicht gerade kommunikationsfreudig, was sich im Blog definitiv bemerkbar gemacht hat. Ich kann es nicht mal auf die Hochsommer-Temperaturen in den letzten zwei Wochen schieben, denn meine Kommunikations-Unlust hält schon länger an. Ich hoffe trotzdem, dass ich vor meiner (Blog-)Sommerpause im Juli und August noch die Rezensionen geschrieben und veröffentlicht bekomme, die ich schon so lange fertigstellen will. Ansonsten kann ich vermelden, dass ich auch im Mai viel gelesen habe. Genau genommen waren es 22 Romane und 6 Kurzgeschichten – und selbst wenn ich die 1775 Seiten umfassende Anthologie, die ich schon im Februar angefangen hatte, abziehe, waren das immer noch fast 6900 Seiten …
Ich bin mir sicher, dass ich im Juni deutlich weniger lesen werde – unter anderem, weil in der nächsten Woche wieder das Japanische Filmfest stattfindet und wir mindestens viermal ins Kino gehen werden. (In diesem Jahr gibt es so viele Veranstaltungsorte, dass leider eine Menge Filme, die wir gern gesehen hätten, parallel laufen, was die Auswahl etwas schwierig machte.) Zum Glück sind die Temperaturen gerade deutlich niedriger als in der vergangenen Woche und wenn die Wettervorhersage recht hat, haben wir das gesamte Festival über erträgliche Temperaturen. Ich hoffe sehr auf ein paar Nächte ohne laufenden Ventilator, um all die Filme und das drumherum geplante Essengehen auch genießen zu können. Wobei ich zugeben muss, dass mein Unvermögen bei Hitze zu schlafen, immerhin zu einigen Extra-Lesenstunden geführt hat … Von den geplanten Kinobesuchen und Essensverabredungen mit meinem Mann (und der ehemaligen Nachbarin) abgesehen, habe ich mir für diesen Monat eigentlich nichts vorgenommen. Mal schauen, was die nächsten Wochen so bringen.
