Der Januar war ein etwas seltsamer Lesemonat. Ich habe acht Romane, vier Kurzgeschichten und sieben Comics/Manga gelesen und sowohl ein Hörbuch, als auch ein Hörspiel gehört. Was alles in allem nicht gerade wenig ist und trotzdem fühlt es sich an, als ob ich kaum gelesen hätte. Was daran liegt, dass ich in den letzten zwei Woche so gut wie gar nicht gelesen habe, obwohl ich meine angefangenen Bücher mag und mich in Gedanken regelmäßig damit beschäftige. Es ist frustrierend, wenn ich eigentlich lesen möchte und es doch nicht auf die Reihe bekomme …
Für den Februar habe ich mir deshalb sämtliches Doomscrolling verboten. Weshalb mein Mann den Auftrag bekommen hat, mich über alles weltbewegend Wichtiges auf dem Laufenden zu halten, während ich mich vor allem offline aufhalte. Die einzigen Ausnahmen sind der Blog (für den ich dann hoffentlich auch wieder Rezensionen auf die Reihe bekomme) und der Feedreader, mit dem ich die Blogs anderer Leute verfolge. Mit etwas Glück sorgt das dafür, dass mich in meiner Freizeit dann nur noch die Switch vom Lesen abhält. 😉

Schade, dass du in der zweiten Monatshälfte nicht so gut lesen konntest. Mehr offline zu gehen, ist sicher hilfreich (nicht nur fürs Lesen). Ich merke auch, dass ich in letzter Zeit viel mehr Nachrichten gelesen habe als mir guttut …
Das Offline-sein tut definitiv gut. Ich habe in den letzten Nächsten sehr viel besser geschlafen (auch wenn ich immer noch nicht wieder lese und stattdessen viel mit der Switch spiele)!
Bei euch in Österreich ist ja auch eine Menge los und es fühlt sich erst einmal richtig an, sich so umfassend wie möglich zu informieren … Aber was bei uns gerade im Wahlkampf los ist plus die (definitiv berechtigte) Empörung der Personen, denen ich online folge, sorgt dafür, dass ich vor lauter Fassungslosigkeit nicht mal mehr mein eigenes kleines Leben auf die Reihe bekomme. Mein „rundum informiert sein“ wird nichts an der allgemeinen Situation ändern, während mein aktuelles „weniger auf dem Laufenden sein“ immerhin helfen könnte, dass es mir wieder etwas besser geht.
Ja, manchmal habe ich das Gefühl, dass ich im Urlaub/beim Wandern auch deshalb so entspannt bin, weil ich da meinen Nachrichtenkonsum immer auf ein Minimum beschränke. Gerade in letzter Zeit führt das „informiert sein“ zu immer mehr Frust …
